yes, my mate finished the level 2 (6129) and i have just finished the level 2 (6035 prev 6129). My mate is working with a Gas Safe as self employed plus other work he does, i don't see me going that route yet.
Other guys who completed same time as me, 1 was just about to set off as self employed (good luck to him), one was already self employed and the course was to boost skills, 1 is employed with site work.
Overall, i would say only sign up to a level 2 course if doing study at home. IF you like it and get it done then decide which area of level 3 to go for (renewables / unvented etc) and at that stage maybe look to getting employment to back up the skills you need for level 3.
Anyway, I got a lot from it in doing practicals, the bookwork took far too long for me!
