Having issues trying to pair a new Vitotrol 100 UTDB-RF2

Good evening,

I have recently purchased a brand new wireless thermostat (Vitotrol 100 UTDB-RF2) for our Vitodens 100w combi boiler. We have just moved into our new home and realised that we had no thermostat only the thermostat valves but noticed on our Vitodens 100w combi boiler that there is a wireless receiver fitted but no wireless remote.
I bought a brand new wireless remote and I'm struggling to pair the two together.
I have gone through the instructions on their website and it doesn't seem to want to pair up. Could this be an issue with the wireless receiver or do you need to buy both items at the same time?

Sorry if this is a completely stupid question but I have no idea on what to do now as they don't seem to be pairing up.

We live in a semi detached and we and our neighbour don't have a wireless door bell.

Just thought I'd ask, sometimes they interfere with each other. The frequencies, not the neighbours
