Gents, do any of you use the mr combi heat loss calc apps ?

i recently downloaded them to my I-pad, I have just done a calc using the app , and for the room in question I ended up needing 1800 watts, I knows it's a very quick basic one but it sounded a lot so I calculated it long hand like we did at plumbing school and same room ended up with 1350 watts. In your experience are they that far out ?
of course it could be me lol.

Hi Jon . I've used my one on loads of houses new and existing and always been bang on. Ive also used a merchants up my way called William wilsons and the Mr combi came up with similar outputs . Suppose that little bit extra you found is better than a bit less .

Wouldn't be surprised if they are oversized. Most of them are when compared to doing it properly. I made a spreadsheet up so it saves a lot of time.

Cheers guys , I will admit they are quick , I havnt had time to do the calc on the old mears but I reckon that will end up being around the near mr combi result, but in my experience mears are over sized .
