i have a job i need to price ,due to vertical issue i can not fit my favorit WB RI so have to make a choice out of this heat only boilers :

baxi solo
potterton gold
potterton promax
main

thanks stan

There is a existing flue holl and I must re use it , existing
flue is 300mm from the wall !
Vaillant and WB require 500mm from the wall to vertical terminal .
So the boilers I can use here are the ones I have listed , just need opinion over which one will you install ?

I think the Solo Main & promax are the same boiler

is baxi gold any better or ? i have fitted few main combi 25 and i am happy with them so no problem fitting another one of there

never fitted a baxi gold so don't know.
The only difference between the others as far as I could work out is the price and length of warranty.

Fitted a solo couple of months ago,
I could get a Main 12 he £100 cheaper than a Solo 12 he - the main had a 1 year warranty that you could upgrade to 2 years for £99. The solo came with a 2 year warranty.

I think main are doing a warranty offer at the moment if you notify the boiler through them - might be worth checking it out
