I am going to start the C&G Level 2 H & V course at the local college in Sept. 2 eves per week for 1 year an dthen the NVQ L 2 which may take another year.
I have a little self learned experience and can solder and bend a pipe to a certain standard so maybe not a green as others.
The course is £800 plus £20 for a book and another £50 odd quid for other materials. Seems like a good course, 6128 I beleive as no lead, don't want lead, tried it once but hated it!
Chaps at the college seem nice, no profit for them, 3 exams at the end of the year, 1 book to buy for £20.
Going to go for it. See what happens and try to work part time eves around my current FT job while doing it.
Spoke to a few fast track providers an d100% not for me, BTSC wanted £6k plus £80 for books - juist salesman.
From my experience I'd say to any plumber go the college route and do the time, takes longer but I think more respected.
Cheers
