Hi All, I hope you can help. I am looking for advise to try to work out if my builder is fobbing me off again or giving good advise.
I live in a 3 storey 6 bedroom house. It has a Ideal Logic 24 boiler and we are having heating issues. (2 rooms on 3rd and 4 room on 2nd) with 1 x wireless thermostat currently on the 3rd floor. The house was completely rebuilt inside (back to 1st fix) due to insulation issues now fixed.
The system have been checked and balancing multiple times.
The radiators in the room on the top at the end of the system takes approx 30 minutes to get hot so the room never gets warm (currently 12 degrees) while the room other room on the same floor is approx 19.
If I move the wireless thermostat to the coldest room, our heating basically stays on the much longer and uses a ton of gas.
All rooms were tested again at 24 degrees (outside temp 14) and all rooms failed to get to temperature.
The builder has advised that they want to change the boiler and increase pressure to 2bar (currently 1.5) and put a programmable TRV in 1 room on the 3rd floor (coldest).
They wont show me the report from the 2nd lot of tests so I don't know if they are fobbing me off.
Can anyone advise if the boiler and pressure change will make much of a difference or will not improve anything as the global effect will be the same with rooms with the wireless stat also getting warmer quicker and turning off the heating.
What is the solution here for a controllable heating system in a house this size? and will the proposed works help?
A link to a report regarding the heating system prior to the boiler and rads being removed.
