Just bought house with central heating, getting cold. Is it a dearer to keep boosting central heating or keep it on at a lower level:confused:

Not yet a qualified plumber but i would say its best on at a nice warm level.

it will be cheaper to keep it ticking over. it costs more to heat anything up from cold rather that top it up. immersion heaters included. plus if its on low theres less chance of freezing and getting a burst pipe.
