Have had a similar one to that for many years. Mine is the snap on regulator type that I used on larger butane bottles. Heats anything you want as good as a home cooker gas ring. Great to have at home for electric power cuts if you don't have gas cooker.
I also used the blow lamp on a tea pot to boil it up a bit in cold weather.

Bit flash! But I have an inverter that can run 240 volts to power socket and,,,,, yes a microwave.

No thought about it but she won't let me take saucepans to work and I remember mess tins as being an arris to clean!

I've got a hot food flask it'll keep a curry or chilli warm till about 1pm. Down side is heating a curry in the microwave at 0530 isn't exactly appetising

I use one of these for cooking whilst fishing. Best bit of kit I've bought.

Sorry that sounds patronising apologies. I meant did you pay someone else to do it

I've got a little camping stove and a mess tin beats sarnies everyday

Fitted it myself.
All 350 transits have an auxiliary battery fitted as standard that feeds the interior lights. I just got a 1000w inverter and wired it to the terminals.

see I thought that. So what do the two batteries one lights one starting??

You got it.
Yes one for the engine and one for the auxiliary. If you flatten it , the van still starts and recharges.

Do you work out which by a case of elimination?? I assume both under the drivers seat??

Fair enough, wish I knew more about vans

Is 1000 w inverter good for any appliances. I've always thought about battery chargers??

Some stuff such as computers & digi stuff need a pure sine inverter which are more £`s than other inverters.

I mostly use it for charging batteries. Or if I need to use a drill near to the van. Oh and the microwave is very popular on sites.

If you have a transit 350 you can connect the 12volt leads to the rear battery. The inventor I got, had all the ends needed and the cables supplied were long enough. Had to fit some grommets throgh the bulk head . But was an easy install.

It's at the top left of this pic.

Looks the part mate I'm just curious about the kind of useage time you'd get out of it??

If I'm drilling I will start the van. Microwave will heat a few dinners between charges. And batteries, probably about 10, but mine is a Mikita with a cooling fan.

Tbh it depends on the condition of the second battery too.

10 full battery charges?? That ain't bad was thinking about them and a chop saw

Chalked, sorry mate, re this thread.

The two batteries does the same one that deals with the lights also deal with the remote central locking. I'm having difficulty with my battery being flat so that the remote doesn't unlock the back of the van. I think I need to get this battery sorted before I look at the inverter. Bit useless when it comes to vans. Battery always charges after a drive though and doors central locking works fine
