I have a combi boiler (about 18month old) I have a separate thermostat which is in the hall but when I turn the thermostat below 20 the heating goes off altogether -I can't understand why this is happening any ideas please?

Thanks

Potential for all sorts of things but here's a couple - hopefully you'll receive many more suggestions.

Is the room stat "fighting" the boiler stat? Sometimes the boiler stat should be turned to zero while the programmer runs all the settings.

Or has the room stat got a dial on it and if the knob has been pulled off, has it been put on incorrectly?

Or is it that the stat is doing exactly what it is meant to do which is provide overall control of the system shutting it down when the house is warm. The TRV’s will provide individual room control.

Not mean't to have a TRV in the room with the thermostat.
