We have recently installed a multi fuel stove with back boiler and have zoned our oil heating. The zoning is working fine but I can't get the radiators to heat using the hot water from the stoves back boiler. I'm not sure how to. Appreciate any advice thanks.

Was it installed by a registered company?
If not you really need a hetas registered engineer to check your system.

1, Did you install it yourself
2, Did a HETAS qualified engineer install it
If 2 get him/her back
If 1 why touch something you don't know enough about
Any fool can pipe up a boiler, but you need to be a proper fool to know how to make it work
I'm out

God I hope this has been done proffessionally

Safety issues here. Adequate arrangement for stove to vent, circulate and dissipate heat from boiler, without pump, essential. Also upgrade F&E tank for hot water discharge. As above, get it checked out.

Hi thanks for all your comments, appreciated. Sorry only replying, busy with family staying.

The stove and back boiler was fitted by a qualified plumber and the wireless programmer for the zoning installed by a qualified plumber and electrician. The zoning when the oil is on is working. I don't know how to get the hot water heated in the back boiler of the stove to circulate when the stove is lite. Before getting the wireless zoning programmer installed I just switched a pump on. Will contact the plumber when he is back form his holidays.

Stove should be piped for gravity circulation, in event of pump failure, with adequate heat sink.

It was piped for Gravity circulation, heating the radiators from stove back boiler was working until wireless zoning programmer was installed. Would it be something I need to set on it? Thanks

It should have been set up to work automatically.

If the Back boiler is on and up to temperature it should take priority over the oil boiler as a heating source.

the solid fuel stove should have been wired with hi and low stats to control the heating circuit , check they are set up correctly.
