boxhead

hi everyone, im boxhead and new to the forum. about 18 months ago i bought a renovated cottage. ever since we have been there our heatline vizo that was allredy installed has been totally useless eg. some rooms i have to run the hot water for ages and it only gets luke warm, the water practically stops and i have to keep opening the tap. this is not a patch on any other combi we have had. is it the combi? bad installation? have they a good write up?im thinking of getting a valliant or worcester although it is only about 18 months old. any advice is appreciated. many thanks boxhead.:confused:

crap, cheap,b+q boiler owned by vailent/glowworm its just cheap tat mate bin it and get a proper combi,if it were me it would be a potterton performa 30he then you would know what real hot water is

Would'nt totally agree with above, Potterton Performa looks very much like a Chaffoteaux (Ariston) to me, I know for some years Baxi (who own Potterton ) have had links with Chaffoteaux, Spare parts were in a Chaff box with a baxi sticker stuck over the top and a price increase of about 70%, not sure if still the same. I have to say the best boiler I have seen to date has to be the Buderus Combi 600, real quality.

i would go for vaillant 831 eco tec,but before you start spending, get your current boiler gas rated, might not be gassed up properly
