Hi, I'm new here so I'm probably going to be bothering you all for advice for a while. Sorry about that.

I've applied for an entry level into plumbing (National Progression Award in Construction.) as the SVQ 3 requires you to be in an apprenticeship, which I do not yet have. I doubt I'd have to complete an entry test in the lower level course, (The SVQ3 requires you to complete a SNIPEF aptitude test) but I've still been practising with a BPEC aptitude test. It didn't appear to be too difficult and seemed to be mainly common sense and mental arithmetic, however there are some aptitude tests out there that make me think I tried to run before I could walk. Lol. I managed to complete some of the engineering questions before I slammed my face into the table.

I was just wondering if it is common precedent to have applicants sit an entry test into a lower level of study? And if so, are there any good example tests out there?

Thanks in advance.
