Hi all,
I work in Devon. I was plumbing for Connaught untill they went bust, they were taken over by Lovell but unfortunately all contracts were withdrawn. I am looking at redundancy now at xmas. so not good!! I thought i'd join this forum and see if anyone knew of work going anywhere in devon. Or if anyone would recommend going out on my own? Is it worth it and does it pay. Thanks in advance for all your comments ;)

Hi Tony

Welcome to the forums, hope you enjoy and feel able to get involved

Sorry to hear you have been caught up in the Connaught issue, hoe things work out Ok

Hi Tony

Lost my job in the connaught saga too! Not good, I am also a plumbing/heating engineer but I am in the Birmingham area. Not sure about work in your area but I have signed up with the plumbing/heating agencies and i'm getting sub contracting work via them now - currently subbing to BG. You could try signing up with them and they will always find you work and they cover all over the country.

Hope you sort yourself out soon

keep the faith

tom
