Hi Paul here, Im new on the forum and new to plumbing, ive done a 10 day competance course to see if it was something I wanted to do( I know its something you lot dont like but I have to keep my full time job to feed my family, so cant take too much time off work). I love it so far. Im after some info on quailifications. where do I start? NVQ or City & Guilds or both, water regs course or is this covered on another course I should do. Any help with this is appreciated.

Go to your local college , it has to be city and guilds as you need the 6129 tech cert before you have the competency to be assessed for the nvq level 2 .

before you apply for anything, find a local firm that would be willing to take you on and help, prove to them your reasons for wanting to follow this line of work.
qualifications are needed but without somewhere to further your experience, training is pointless. soz

good luck
shaun

where you based??
