Hello to all, I am a newbie. Just started taking course in plumbing. I'm 30 and just found out this hidden passion for this trade.

I am taking T4T course, just completed Module 4...long way to go, but will persevere.

Looking forward to hearing your journey to this trade and advice.

Transvia, Dorset

Hi transvia and welcome to UKPlumbersForums.co.uk!

Hi Transvia I think to many new entrants to the industy try too hard to learn to much in a short space of time I say this with respect, I suggest you visit your local public library have a look at the plumbing books on offer and if you find something that fits the bill obtain your own copy/copies from somewhere like Amazon.com.Did you recieve any book from your course and if so what is it called?.I have previously posted that if you contact uk.copperboard they will send you some free info .As for dvd`s I have no info to offer maybe someone else here on the forum can help:)good luck regards turnpin

Hello Turnpin, many thanks for your advice. I bet I just have to have patience and slowly immerse myself into ins and out of this trade. The course I am taking will have four sets of book. Just completed the first one and waiting for the second one. My practical is not due until I complete my second book ( i think ), but I have seen some dvds on ebay. Just not sure whether those dvd contained good practise of completing the job.
I will contact uk.copperboard and get the info from there too.

Have a good day.

Hello Toddyplumb, sorry for the late reply. Yes I am doing a distance learning course at the moment. It is all theory at the moment, but after certain stage in the future, I will have some hands on training at the training centre. What about you? Are you a learner too?
