Hi my names Jessica and I stumbled upon this site whilst trying to find out what could be wrong with my Halstead boiler. I am losing pressure from my combi boiler with no signs of a leak anywhere in the house I am having to top the pressure up 1-2 times weekly. I also have an issue with the boiler randomly failing to fire resulting in no hot water or heating. This can happen when the boiler pressure is 1.5 and above. Is there anything simple it could be? Is it worth taking out boiler cover and making a call out? Or do I need to face the fact I need a whole new system? Any help would be much appreciated thanks x

Does it leak on the outside wall behind the boiler, there should be a small copper pipe coming out of the wall and can some times drip loosing pressure at the boiler

Oh and welcome to the forum Jessica

Hi everyone, thanks for the warm welcome, I haven't checked the pipe that goes outside I'll have to ask my neighbours if I can go in to their garden to have a look. Oddly enough today the pressure was 1.5, I put the central heating on and it went up to 2.5. I'm completely baffled as to what is going on!
