Hi there, I'm a student at college working at the trade, only the first year, Level 2 diploma. From sixth form it seems more of a straight forward path rather than studying crap not knowing where it'll lead you.
I ended up doing the course since I never really knew what I wanted to do and thought it a good idea to know how our water works. I've got a strong will to become a fully qualified plumber one day, been trying to grab an apprenticeship for a year but no luck.
I always worry how I'm gonna know what to do when carrying out jobs, since I don't fully get what I'm being taught sometimes but I score well in my exams.
Might just start phoning up local plumbers asking if they'd like a plumber's mate free of charge even.
Glad to be a part of the forum
