perpetually paralised by the fear of making (expensive) DIY mistakes, looking to learn a little from people who know what they're doing!

Current issue is a broken shower that needs replacing and weighing up between giving it a go and getting some help!

Welcome.Lots of good advice on here.Post details of the shower situation in the appropriate forum section and you will get advice.Sometimes it is as cheap to replace a shower as buy parts and try to mend it.
