Help diagnosing problem with Johnson Starkey warm air heater please

I'm not very familiar with these, serviced one once with my mentor when I was training, that's my total experience on them. The problem is that it will light, and the pilot will stay on, it will burn just fine for 30 minutes or so, then go out. At which point pilot light goes out as well. It's for a good mate of mine. I won't be doing the work as I don't have my DAH ticket, but I'd like to know what the problem might be so he doesn't get ripped off... Any ideas please?

I'd be looking underneath watching what the burner is doing. If it's visciating (hunting) then the baffle's most likely blocked! Also check the flame when the fan kicks in! If it's all over the place then there's most likely a crack in the heatex...!!! Otherwise I'd be checking out the state of the pilot and t/cupl
