Hi all,

can anybody tell me, what course should i take to register gas safe engineer?
short course if possible.

thanks a lot.

NVQ 2 in gas, then NVQ 3 in gas then your ACS with elements following experience of around 4 years
or pay a private company £10k to help you through your acs with little experience, pay for gas safe registration and go and work unsafely coz you dont know what your doing

why a 'short course'? surely you meant the 'best course' to take?

n o i think he means short course, shorter the better, may as well say, any loop holes anyone?

oh, here we go, another plumbing forum debate on training centres, We should start a protest against training centres as there is quite high feelings on training centres..... let them know how plumbers feel, rather then taking it out on each other.

Has anybody ever heard of training centres giving the same standard as colleges or are they all fast track.

12 week master plumber, fast track gas, unvented cylinders put in by people who have never put a vented one in but have a bit of paper, these fast track courses are the bottom rung of becoming a plumber, but are sold as the finished product, how people buy them as most say earn £40k after training but when you look at ads for plumbers £ 15k to £27k is the average depending how good you are,and on site that will soon show,
