Hello, I need some help with my boiler..

We have a worcester 28i junior and recently, after some frozen pipe issues, the system seems to be not working properly.

The heating works fine, but there is a problem with the hot water. There is only hot water when the boiler is on and burning, ie the burner light is on. as soon as this light goes out, the hot water stops..

any ideas? im hoping it is not a big issue as cant really afford a plumber right now. the pressure on the boiler is just above 2 when the heating is on..

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thankyou

Yes I have found that also
Found hot water will not get hot if boiler not on,one of the first things I noticed all those years ago when started in trade and one of the few things that has not changed :)

Maybe a few more details,go on you know you want to ;)

im a little confused by your reply? pretty sure it was sarcastic but hard to tell in print..

Before we had this problem, any time of day, we would have hot water running from all sinks and the bath. Even if the heating was off, we would have hot water. Now if the heating is off, we have no hot water at all. The only way to get hot water is when the heating turns on and the boiler is burning. This may last a few minutes before it turns off, (to regulate heat i assume), then the hot water goes again...

i know next to nothing about heating and plumbing but have googled all i can and have no idea so any help would be great. if im leaving out details you need, please let me know..

You are going to have to get someone in to look at the boiler for you, could be the flow switch stuck ,nothing you would be able to do yourself unfortunetly :(
