Hello fellas,

I would appreciate some assistance in the wiring of the above mentioned component on a vaillant boiler.

i have checked the manuals of the VR61 and just some of it makes sense as I have never installed one of these before.

Its a bit about of way of our old s plan system on the unvented cylinders.

any sort of help will be appreciated as I have to wire this baby up tomorrow morning.

thanks in advance guys!!!!!

Hi mate,

yes it does but it does not really make a lot of sense as I said earlier its my first time I'm installing this system therefore it's bit confusing. It would be great help if I could get some pointers to consider I'm sure I will be able to wire it up.

Thanks GSI I already have that document.

dancinplumba, yes I'm using it on unvented and s plan.

whats baffling is the control centre only has three terminals so should I just leave the live in and live out from the zone valves out of the wiring sequence?

Hi dancinplumba,

i went to the job today and guess what I found ....three zone valves, one for HW two for two separate heating circuits and the VR61 is compatible with three two port zone valves. I had to wire it to VRC470 and V10

i followed the instructions on the electric wiring for both controls but did not get to fire the boiler up. There is power to the vrc470 and vr61 through the eBus from the boiler but the boiler does not recognise the demand for heat.......?

I know I'm missing something minor here but can't seem to figure it out.

Any comments will be highly appreciated guys......

See it now, hydraulic drawing 4 , instead of pumps :) my bad :)
Which boiler you got ?

:)

it a vaillant 637 system boiler with a unistor unvented cycylinder you got that right it's a hydraulic 4 system

Tell me about it mate....
Challenges aRe good but the kind of language they use in the Vaillant instructions is sometimes mind boggling
Are there any parameters we need to set in the boiler in the installer level??

Sound like a call to Vaillant Monday morning ! Sorry I have not got any expirience with the control system ! Bit I have fitted many heat only and system boilers , and as far as I remember , they needed a switch live connected to terminal 5 ( but not sure if this is the same as this control ! What I also don't like with Vaillant is paying premium to ring them as there numbers charge £1 per minute

There was a link to be made in 3&4 which I done

the boiler needs an ebus from vr61 and VRC470
i provided that also but still the boiler gets no heat ddemand
when I ran the boiler on chimney sweep it fires up and gives a fault of heat pipes blocked which I understand if the zone valves don't open we will get a blockage

What number are you dialling??? I use an 0870 number, which is included in my phone contract's inclusive minutes..

That will be helpful if I can get some normal number to call rather than some ripoff number

I dont know masood I called them some time ago !
psk ist link 3 and 4 your room stat ???

I was given 0870 010 6077 to use after doing the Vaillant training and joining the Advance scheme. It's their priority line and the phone gets answered pretty quickly...

That's us what I thought at first it's a 230v 3&4
the Manual states if no link in 3-4 the boiler won't fire up
I tested both with the link in and oout what's confusing is all Vaillant and nothing marries up

Spoke to vaillant and they gave me the same diagram as I wired the system up. I'm there tomorrow and will update you guys on the ooutcome.
thanks for the number masood it was very handy il save it

so they could not guide you over the phone how to wire up there product !!!??

I dont think I will be pushing any vaillants , not that I am but you get the point
