Good evening,
I am receiving endless calls from a neighbour about a noisy saniflo which is under the kitchen sink. I basically get several water 'thumps' when the pump stops which is the non return valve at the bottom of a 2 meter vertical pipe.I have had saniflo engineers around to inspect and they said it is installed properly with vents at the top etc and the valve is pointing the right way, correct section etc, the only thing I can do is build an accoustic box which I have done, mount the cabinet on rubber, done, and sound insulate the whole cabinet, done. I then had health and environment around and they said it was marginal but okay. I wish it was quieter for the neighbour below. I can't go under the floor to the soil pipe 5 meters away, can't go around the room because of doorways or through the wall and around and so I have gone up and along through the loft to the soil pipe. It's only dishwater any quieter solutions or better products would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
