hiretools

Hello fellas Hiretools here i know i haven't been on the forum for a while but been super dooper busy anyway. I need help to quote on a job and all replies will be gratefully received. I have to install 14 toilets all the toilets have to boxed in so only the pan is showing on close coupled toilets... two water troughs for cleaning your hands and two drinking fountains all materials supplied i just have to fit them the cold water supply is 42mm and the hot is 35mm. i have 43 metres of 15m and 20 metres of 22m also i have some 25 metres of soil stack plastic to install plus taking out about 6 metres of cast that is in there at the moment. as well as taking out about 10 metres of 42mm steel pipe that is no longer needed i also have to put a loop in two places. So taking all of this into consideration what do you think is a good to reasonable quote to win the job as i want to be competitive but not too cheap i know it's alot of info to take in but i went to see the job today and i am in Ireland tomorrow so need to get the quote in by tonight i would like to think i have helped some people on here in the past and would really be well greatfull for any advice you can give me.

Tricky one. Only you know how many man days you think it will take you to install. I always add around 20% to what I think it will take, and it normally takes all of it!!!

Hi What is it a holiday camp / holiday park? The fact that close coupled wc's are being boxed in suggest it not been designed by the trade/professional.
In the event of soil blockage. You would have a nightmare sorting it. How do you get a pan out? Give it a miss it will end in tears.

That's what caught my eye concealed cisterns surely. Jobs like this are always dificult to estimate i did four washrooms in a hospital recently similar sort of job but not as much. I priced my labour at Day rate plus 20% and broke down each stage of the job on paper to work out how many days. I got it about right and made £4800 incuding materials margin for 15 full days and a few part days.

It worked for me.

at the risk of taking up more valuable tinternet spacem i didnt mean to offend you, just having a gentle dig/laugh (or not!!!!!!!!!!) hope the job goes well for you if you end up taking it on, and well done for being busy it honestly wasnt a dig, i have a lot of respect for those who get out there and get it done rather than whinge, what is it they say "yes the harder i work the luckier i get"
