Hi guys, Am in need of some of your knowledge.

Could you please help me decommission my bath.

It does not have any servicing valves on the taps so cant turn them off there.

Hot water comes from a hot water vessel.

That is all i know.

Would be grateful for some advice.

Really need help to decommission my hot water sysyetm so i can fit a new bath!!!

Regards

first of all turn your water off - as in vessel i think you mean tank/cylinder, turn the feed off to the bottom of cylinder prob a wheel valve, be careful this doesnt brake if its been standing for a while the insides sometimes seize, making a big job bigger. your mains should be turned off and then your bath taps run as well as the downstairs taps. clears all water.

new bath take it you've never fitted one ? good luck.

Hah yes,the old decommissioning of an old bath,if I had a pound for every problem I have had with this job,I could pay for a weekend in Billinghurst
The main, most important, first thing to do before you decommission it, is to make sure the bath is empty first, remember once, had the bath out and in the garden before I realised the customer was still in it,did not think, those cast baths are heavy anyway,:confused:lucky I had decided not to smash it up,there would have been pounds of cellulite everywere, should have heard her screams, time we got back down stairs, the scrap men had the bath and customer on the back of thier scrap cart, then they got mad with me when I pulled her off the cart coz she was a big girl and would have helped double the scrap weight at the scap yard weigh bridge:eek:
Thet say big girls are usually bubbly and full of smiles, well can tell you this one was'nt:(
