Hi,

I have a Bristan Capri/Sonique and the cartridge is failing. Bristan are sending one out (I cant decide whether to take them up on the £125 deposit offer in case its not faulty) so I'll have to look at getting it fitted myself.

Trouble is, I cant even get the control knob off - its a single mixer knob with off position at 6 o clock and full on at 9 o clock

Got the grubscrew out but the knob will just not budge, and I dont particularly want to wrench the shower off the wall by overdoing it....

Any hints / tips ?

Seems there are a few with same cartridge issues with Bristan - have many taken up the £125 deposit / engineer offer and if so, do they generally end up being covered by warranty or do they pull fast ones ?

Cheers
