oil boiler will not fire up as the Zilmet pressure tank above is at zero bar....should be 2 bars....How can I re-pressurise it from the tribune cylinder upstairs?
All advice welcome...very cold house tday😱
Thanks gorey

Hi. I am not familiar with the names you mention. But if it a sealed system? Filling it is normally via a filling loop, which is generally located around boiler area or where the heating circuit is close to the main supply. I first instance look for a chrome plated braded hose and fittings, the hose should be disconnected form system but rarely is. If you find it turn on till 1.5to 2 bar is shown on the pressure gauge and fire up the boiler. Good Luck

hi gorey

You will have a filling loop somewhere to repressurise the system.
Its possibly near to the expansion vessel (zilmet) looks like a couple of valves with chrome flexi pipe between, you may have to fit flexi pipe turn on both valves untill it reads 1.5 bar on the gauge.

pull off the door and under the control thermostat box is a high limit reset button, can't remember if it has a cover over it or not but just press and it should fire up.

How can you tell if it is locked out,and what would I have to do to unlock it?

This is from the instructions;

The recommended minimum thermostat setting is 65°C (thermostat setting 1). If the
high limit thermostat operates it may be reset by removing the reset cover and pressing
the reset button. If the burner goes to lockout it can be reset by pressing the illuminated
red reset button on the burner control box. Combustible material must not be placed
on top of the boilerhouse models or on top of the burner cover as the temperature of
certain exposed components can occasionally reach 70°C. The boiler thermostat is
adjustable from 60°C to 90°C and the manual reset limit thermostat has a set point of
110°
