Help with 42cdi combi

After a power cut today the boiler has the -||- symbol flashing when trying to fire heating. I found a thread that detailed the same issue (link below). I followed the instructions to calibrate and all went well and then an E9 error appeared. I reset this and now I am back to -||-.

can anyone offer any advice please.

Leave it alone for half an hour, it thinks it's filling the condense trap.
