My customer has a conventional hot water cylinder in airing cupboard and cold water storage in loft. The proposed shower is going to be in the bathroom below the tanks. It is not possible to pump the outlets from the pump under the floor accross to the shower as its solid screed so the outlet pipes need to rise up into the loft and drop down to the shower. Can you advise me what pump I should use.

Thankyou

Karl

Shouldn't be a problem. Just a positive head pump should be ok as shower is well below tank. A negative head pump can be used no prob also if any doubt about pump failing to start where there is long pipe runs in attic. Check with pump manufacturer on phone for tech advice before u even buy a pump. I like Stuart & Turner pumps.

Thanks best, yeah I will be speaking to tech, I usualy use salamander positive pressure if outlets are under floor but I once had a prob with positive when outlets rose into loft and went accross loft space to drops so i was thinking negative pressure however I thought negative pressure was for when the tank was below shower outlet. Was nt sure if you could use it when tank is above shower head.

Negative head is if shower hasn't much head of water above it or no head at all - called negative head. I did similar job with long runs across attic & was advised to use negative pump as it was only slightly more money & u can't go wrong using it. I used S & Turner as they are top quality, but expensive.
