Hi
I have one or two messages that have been sent to this forum and I see that there are other people out there who have decided after much thought to do the plumbing course through the OLCI. I would be grateful from any one who as completed the course or who still on it to give me some advice.
I have only just started the course and looking forward to my first workshop in feb,Is there anything I should concentrate on for my first workshop reading all the techinical data in the book about copper, plastic and other materials seem to be bogging me down I've sent off for brouchers on fittings, pipes and other material but all seem to be taking its time in coming which means I'm not moving on with the course to do the other stuff or am I fussing over nothing PLEASE HELP ! ! !

Hi new b
welcome to the forum

i have not been on the OLCI course but if you are reading the techincal data and do not have any thing to refer to it will not sink in I would go to b & q and buy a sample of copper pipe, T's, elbows, ect and the same with plastic, the more you handle the bits the better you will understand and once you have done a workshop it will click in to place ,

good luck

uug

Hi New b, Uugs idea sounds good to me, browse through all the 'bits' in BQ and the like. I did a crash course and we were told to practice soldering but you can't do that unless you have been shown first!
