TC.

Hello all, need some help and advice - after reading through these forums and knowing about the QCF i am unsure about what to do.

I wish to start what is now the 6129 and 6089 NVQ course.

I do not hold a apprenticeship however i am self employed and do regular work fro a GSR Plumber.

I have been working in the industry for a year now, as a self employed plumbers mate to the plumber.

Now as i am too old to do an MA ( nearly 25) , will the fact that i am self employed and do work already for a plumber who can theoretically sign off the NVQ part mean i can still do the QCF 6189 or the 6129 TC and 6089 NVQ (if its still running)

How will i be able to get qualified?

Thanks in advance

In september i will be doing an evening course at Cornwall College Saltash campus - trying to do the 6129 TC along side the 6089 NVQ.

My question is as i am not on a MA and i am self employed, under the new qualification being brought in by the QCF the college have said i may have to be employed by a plumber to do the course!

how do i circumbvent this.

I am a skilled plumbers mate, i just dont have the quals to prove my skills, and i want to go out as a self employed qualified plumber.

So i need to get ticketed

why are you too old? you can be an apprentice at any age. the funding from the goverment does alter though. you will prob have to contribute alot more than an 18 year old but nowt sayin you carnt mate
