Hi all,
I've just joined the plumbing forum, I'm not actually a plumber but I'm hoping to become one.
I'd like some advice on the best way to go about getting qualified i.e college or a private course.
I'm 27 so getting onto a college course might be a bit tricky. I've also heard that colleges aren't turning out the best plumbers although I don't know if this is a reflection on the college or the candidates.
I'm a bit wary of the alternative, private course route as we're all out to make a living and these guys are no exception and seem very very eager for people like me to hand over their money.
Does anyone think it would be a good idea to try and gain some experience by working alongside a plumber for free?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks!
