I am a tiler and have just started my L2 plumbing not done any practical yet and was looking for my first small job to do in my house. The problem is when you turn on cold tap it is at very high pressure and the flow is,how can i say very thin.I know this is proberbly somthing simple but must start somwere would be helpfull if i could get a few pointers.:)

Are you in a hard water area? sounds like a partial limescale blockage, can probably clear it with some chemical (acid based/ descaler) applied to tap outlet. alternatively remove the little plastic filter/airator thingy from the tap and again either clean it or just leave it out... Be careful that whatever chemical you use doesnt damage your tap or surrounding area (read the bottle). Could also just replace the tap, but that is a bit wasteful, but then again inside the tap may be blocked as well.
