Ok - had frozen supply through xmas and new year at the in-laws. They have immersion heater for water supply, fed from CWSC in loft. When all pipework etc was being checked, the water from the whole system was drained to prevent internal freezing (supply pipe to house is approx 1.5 miles long and water board less thanm helpful, stating home owner issue) as heating etc was all switched off.
While system was empty, a leaking stop tap from CWSC supply into hot water tank was replaced, like for like. This was the only work done on the hot water system.
Now water is back on, hot water tank is filling through new tap okay, cold water pressure from mains is good etc. but the hot water pressure has depleted significantly. Assumed air in pipes but no matter how long running for still seems to sputter, spit and dribble out.
Any ideas how to troubleshoot and resolve? any help much appreciated!
thanks
