Do you guys silicone the edges of hobs, the underside edge? If so, normal silicone or heat resistant? Or do you use something else or nothing at all?

Id its new they come with 'putty' type sealing strips

If it does dont try and peel the putty of the plastic.
Just cut the plastic into 4 strips and lay it down. Then peel plastic backing off

Ive always found with the putty that after a month of use it squirts out a bit from the weight of all the pans and stuff, just tell the customer it might happen and they can either cut it off them selves or you'll come back to do it

Did the job today.. The one I took out had been connected with a flexi water pipe with a water ISO valve ... Nice! Ballsed up my pipework first time as oven wouldn't go back lol so had to redo it, then one of my joints leaks so had to pinpoint it and sort it out.. One of those days I tell ya!!!

Hobs and ovens are a real pain most of the time theres not enough room
