Hi i got called yesterday by homeserve to attend a boiler allegedly leaking water. What was actually wrong is another story probably for hall of shame. I asked about money and they said they just pay my rates. Told them my rates and they seemed more than happy . Also had to ring them about what happened and the lady offered to put my price up so i put it up. Made me think i was going in too cheap.

Anyone know what the going rate is for this sort of thing. Also anyone had experience good or bad with them?

Thanks jon

I"ve never dealt with them, but as far as rates go you should be charging between £60-£80 for 1st hour. That seems to be the going rate round me.

Said 65 for first 45 after. They seemed so surprised i thought it must be significantly different from what theyre used to. Put it up to 65 for both hours.
