Has anybody else realised that Honeywell controls are not what they used to be. I have changed 3 timers in the last 2 months all in garages where when the Hot water and Heating is on together the timer just flashes on and off constantly.

I had a few ages ago where the screen faded out on the RF stat but gave them benefit of the doubt as everyone is human and can make mistakes. But what in the world is going on. An old Honeywell timer used to last 30 years:mad: all the ones I have been called to recently are about 4.

Like I said in the pump thread they design things to fail max 3-5 years
 
Just on the subject of Honeywell time clocks, I believe Plumbcentre 'Centrebrand' clocks are the old Honeywell. Seem good and also simple like the latest Honeywell branded
