Honeywell evohome thermostat.

Hey all. Are these suitable for all boilers brands or certain 1s. The Home owner has this already before a boiler has been brought. Was looking at an ideal logic or potterton combi's but he was under the impression that it only worked under certain brands. Haven't come across any of these yet.
