Has anyone got a testing procedure to diagnose faults on Honeywell 2port/3port motorised valves or any shortcut tips??/

Tried that, just standard fitting/user guide info......anyone got a helpfull reply??
 
wireing diagram comes with units
not sure what you what to test
2 port valve
wiring
orange and grey,attached to micro switch,opened when valve fully open otherwise closed,giving power to boiler and pump
brown power to syncron motor that opens valve,blue ,neutral from motor,brown/live supply via proggrammer and relivate thermostat

3 port valve

orange power from cylinder state when demand
gray,power from cylinder stat when hot water satisfied
white power from heating room thermost
blue,neutral

power to

orange only...valve position hot water only
orange and white...mid position,heating and hot water
gray and white...heating only position

power supply to boiler/pump will be through orange
 
I did the honeywell 1 day course this week its very good.

If you have a fault you can test the motor and depends on the fault get a tester and see whats working or not as the case maybe.

Can you be specific about the problem you have or do you just want a wiring diagram?
 
Go to Honeywell UK Click on Download and download the Wiring Guide. It has all the fault finding info you need.

You will have to "register" to get any downloads from the Honeywell website, but you can put anything in as long as the email address is correct!

Taker the casing off the motor and components...Grab your multimeter and stick it to Ohms (resistance) and stick the two probes on the round thingy lol, like a coil of wires. I dont know an awful lot of electrics but that i beleive should tell you the motor is in good order. From there on its a matter of working back i beleive.
