Hi all,
Got an elderly customer living on her own with no heating/hot water. Her control system is a Y Plan Honeywell Smartfit 7 day jobbie. The room unit/controller appears to be fine until you touch it and then the display throws a wobbler and doesn't carry out the command of whichever button you press Occasionaly you can get it to create a demand briefly and fire the boiler but then drops out again !!
Clearly i need to exchange the room unit but my suppliers only have the 24hr room unit and not the 7 day........ not had much dealings with these systems so my question is will the 24hr unit operate in place of the 7day ? Been quoted 7 to 10 days to get the 7 day but need to get her back on quicker than this and i know the extra features of the 7 day are meaningless to her !
Tried to get the relevant info from Honeywell today but gave up after 15 mins on hold
