I have lived in my rented property for about 18 months and recently the heating will come on even though the switch is set to off. I will call landlord to have a look I just wondered if it could be something I'm missing before I ring him for someone to look at it. I've never noticed this happening in the 18 months I've been here, never used the timer, never touched the thermostat (altho I looked and it is set to about 23) but according to the manual it should stay off if it's set to off.

You've got a wee problem with an actuator head. He'll need to get a heating chap or chapette in.
