honeywell thermostat model cm927 issue with low target temperature

just turned on my heating for the first time since last winter. the thermostat will not allow me to set a target temp above 9.5 degrees. it just cycles back to zero......help!

That's not behaviour I recognise.

Are the batteries okay?

Has the leading digit in the display died? E.g. "21.5" displays as " 1.5"

(IIRC, there was a period when CM927s had a batch of displays that failed prematurely.)

thank you for your response. i don't think its a missing digit as the boiler doesn't fire up as i go higher.

When my honeywell mis-behaved I replaced it with this ... Center wireless programmable room thermostat | Wolseley much cheaper and does the job.
