Hot tqp not working

Hi, I've got a problem with the hot tap in our kitchen. When turned on, it starts to release water, but slows to a trickle. I don't think it's a boiler problem, because the heating is working, and all the hot taps in the bathroom work fine. The kitchen tap is on an old mixer, but the cold part of the mixer works fine. I'm guessing it's a problem with the hot tap mechanism, but would be grateful for any ideas - relative novice!

It sounds like the tap needs a new washer. Can you post a picture?
