Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can shed some light on my problem, I went to a customers house to look at a problem which involved the hot water and heating both coming on when the programmer was calling for hot water only, to my surprise I turnt up to see a warm air unit that some one had rearranged the Pipework to add rads to the system. What they had done was cut into the cylinder flow and put a mid position valve in, tap into the return for the rads and run a separate flow from mid position valve to rads. Everything looked and made sense in my head that the system should work with everything fully functional. I checked the mid position valve and when removing the head and turning the nib it just keep turning which tells me it's broke and stuck in mid position, I changed the valve for a new one and the problem is still happening the valve seems to be shutting off one to the other but when on hot water mode the rads still get warm, the problem I have is the customer has justed moved in and can not tell me if it was ever working properly when the alterations were done!! Can anyone tell me if I'm missing something or give me any ideas on what else it could be. Thanks
