Hi
could someone please help me out with the problem i am having.I cannot have a shower or bath or wash up as the water from the taps is either cold or luke warm.My wife said that last year the plumber went into the loft and said we had bacteria in the tank and put some tablets in it. Could anyone confirm that this would be correct and if so could you please tell me where i can get these and what i have to do.
Thanks

Hi
can anyone help me on the problem i am having. IF i have a shower or bath or turn any of the taps on the water is almost cold. The other year my wife called out a plumber and he said it was due to bacteria and put a tablet in the water tank in the loft could anyone confirm this and lead me down the right path as in what to do.

The hot water problem will not be bacteria related although, that may be a additional problem

The lack of hot water will probably be a boiler operational problem

imho

Not tank fed mate. Is there power to boiler(lights on)? Have you pressed the reset? can you get heating at all? if so try hot water while heating is on... that'll give us all some idea of whats happening mate. You really have to give more info
