I have an old condensing boiler in the garage. Heating's OK with radiators hot when required, however without immersion heater switched on there's never any hot water on tap. There's 1 cold water tank in loft and a hot water cylinder in the airing cupboard. Is this a simple problem that I can fix myself? Please give step by step advise if possible - thanks in advance.

Hi you need to call a plumber he's right sounds like your valve may be either faulty blocked if you ndont know what it is or how it wsorks get someone in. This controls the supply of hot water from your boiler to either heat the water in your cylinder or heat the radiators. It could be the thermostat not talking to the valve as well.
