hi guys, got a job on for daughter, she wants her entire bathroom ripping out and replacing, no problem. but i have a question about hot water pressure, the bathroom is an add on, on a 1930s terrace house(ground floor)the tails enter the room above the bathroom door and turn left along ceiling line to the left hand corner, then turn down to floor level and off to appliances.if i was to tee off the 22mm hot at ceiling level take along the wall and down to the bath would this improve the water pressure enough to run a decent mixer shower. (hot water would be terminated after the hand basin)

you will be fine installing a thermostatic mixer shower from the hot water circuit, Do you know the boiler spec for litres per minute? if it is about 12 l/min and the mains incoming pressure is good the shower will be fine!

presume you are saying 22mm pipework into bathroom and at present reduces down to 15mm for bath and other out lets and you was thinking of running all in 22m.if combi boiler fitted, would not bother,as now all on mains presure and will not improve the presure by increasing pipe size, infact may cause proplems ,just run in 15mm to shower ,will provide a nice power shower as long as good mains pressure coming into dwelling
