Hi I have been trying to get my hot water working on a honeywell Y system. I changed the valve as the gearbox was a bit clunky, I also changed the tank stat. Problem is that heating works ok but can not get hot water to click in.
I need some info on the programer. With both hot water and heating off I have a live on terminal 1 on the programer, which means the grey on the valve is also live. When I select heating it works ok and the white becomes live as well.
When I switch off heating and select hot water the grey remains live but nothing else is live and the hot water will not work.
Question is.
1) With both water and heating off should I have a live on programer terminal 1, 3, 4,?
2) With heating only on, Which terminal should be live ?
3) With hot water only on, Which terminal should be live ?
4) With both hot water and heating on Which terminals should be live ?
One other thing I noticed was that if I select water and heating then switch off, The motor will not let the spring return to rest and I have to turn power off at isolation switch to allow it to return. I hope that is enough info to allow someone to help me. Thank you. Clive
