I'm moving the cylinder from the airing cupboard into the loft (vented) and it has a connection for a HW recirculation feed, tbh I never really noticed the lag (about 10 seconds) before the water gets hot at the faucet or having to run the shower for about 30 seconds before hand but that'll increase as it's being moved about 8 meters away. The house is a very modest 3 bed semi without any huge pipe runs so I'm wondering if it's even worth doing and if so what's the best way of activating the pump while the pipework is accesible.

Is there a wireless, pressure sensing kit available as I wouldn't want to run it continuously or on a timer, thanks for any advice.

You would need someone more experiance with secondry returns to answer this but as far as im aware you cant sense the pressure as the idea is you keep the hot warm at all times for instant hot water take off. By sensing the presure you will effectivly just be pulling the hot when a taps switched on, defeats the object. A timer is in my view a best option.

also the pump must be made of bronze and designed for use with a secondary return.

also the pump must run regularly to eliminate risks of legionella but again you must ask someone more experianced on here about that.
