Need to remove a bathroom radiator for retiling work but stuck on this connector between the plastic pipe coming out of the wall and the metal elbow that connects to the radiator proper.

It will turn 360 degrees but is not screwed. No matter how hard i pull on it, it won't separate. Do i just have to cut the pipe and start again?
